Join us in celebrating Ukraine's 35th Independence Day, a powerful tribute to freedom, resilience, and national pride. As Ukraine continues its courageous struggle for sovereignty, it is more important than ever to unite in solidarity and honour the enduring spirit of independence. Together, we stand in support of Ukraine’s pursuit of peace and self-determination, celebrating not just its past, but also the hope for a free and peaceful future.
All Ukrainians and Friends of Ukraine are very welcome.
Two-Part Event:
1. Stand with Ukraine - Auckland Rally:
Join us at Aotea Square from 12:30 pm.
Friends and supporters of Ukraine are encouraged to attend. Bring your Ukrainian flags and posters. This event will go ahead rain or shine, irrespective of weather conditions!
2. Ukrainian Community Celebration:
After the rally, we invite members of the Ukrainian community, their friends and family to gather for a shared meal.
Please bring a plate to contribute to the communal table (this event is not funded or catered, and is a potluck format).
The gathering will take place at the Perpetual Guardian offices in City Central from 2:30 pm onwards (Level 23, 191 Queen Street). More detail on this part of the event and how to take part will be posted in the local Ukrainian community groups.
