ABOUT THE BAND:
Lifesigns are an independent UK based band of virtuoso professional musicians and the brainchild of John Young (keys/vocals), with Steve Rispin (sound), whose members have worked with artists ranging from Asia and The Scorpions to pop and jazz icons like Bonnie Tyler and Quincy Jones. Lifesigns has a signature modern symphonic prog sound, with multilayered keyboards, ethereal vocals, and jazz-fused arrangements.
Their first album, Lifesigns, was released in February 2013, and reached the UK top 100 album chart. Guests included Steve Hackett (Genesis), Robin Boult (Fish) and Thijs van Leer (Focus).
In 2017 Cardington was released via a funded pledge music campaign that met its target in just 48 hours, which had guest appearances from Robin Boult (Fish), Menno Gootjes (Focus) and Dave Bainbridge (Iona), who has since joined the band full time.
Their latest studio album Altitude was crowdfunded by their dedicated fans in 40 countries worldwide, (including 36 US states) and has been compared to everything from Steely Dan to Pink Floyd to U.K.
In July 2023 a live album recorded at De Boerderij in the Netherlands was released.
Lifesigns is currently working on their fourth studio album.
