About this Event

Infrastructure BC, on behalf of the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) Acute Care Tower Alliance, invites local contractors, suppliers, and businesses interested in working with or providing products and services to the UHNBC Acute Care Tower Project.

The UHNBC Acute Care Tower Alliance includes the Northern Health Authority, Infrastructure BC, EllisDon, DIALOG, Houle, and PML Professional Mechanical Ltd.

This event also enables the UHNBC Acute Care Tower Alliance participants to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and awareness of local services available and to build relationships with local contractors, suppliers, and businesses.

With the addition of the new acute care tower, UHNBC will have:

• 6 new cardiac care beds
• 20 new cardiac step-down beds
• New cardiac clinics and diagnostic services that provide advanced cardiac care, including 2 new cardiac catheterization labs and 1 hybrid operating room
• 47 new (102 total) surgical patient beds
• 5 new (12 total) surgical operating rooms
• 5 new (11 total) adolescent psychiatric inpatient beds
• 16 new (36 total) adult psychiatric inpatient beds
• 12 new (32 total) adult withdrawal management beds
• 4 new adult psychiatric brief intervention beds
• Perioperative services including a medical device reprocessing department;
• Outdoor courtyards and other landscaped areas; and
• Administrative functions such as public, patient and visitor support services, material management, and food services.
