Fraser River Initiative

A collaborative effort to raise awareness and discuss the cumulative impacts on the Fraser River. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, screen the film "The Spirit Who Swims" at 7:00 pm, followed by a discussion on the health of the Fraser River with film director Bev Sellars and Upper Fraser Fisheries Conservation Alliance (UFFCA) Executive Director, Gord Sterritt.

Info: Short presentation of two reports by the Environmental Law Centre at UVIC on the “Fraser River Protection: An Initial Assessment of the Legal Failure for Cumulative Impacts” and “ Whole-of-River-Protection for the Fraser River: A Scan of Legal Protection,” introduction to Jeremy Vendetti’s Data Monitoring Centre.
