Join us for our December meeting of Silent Book Club Meeting at Flight Tasting Room & Bottle Shoppe in Yorkville. In conjunction with December’s regular silent book club meeting, this will be a special meeting providing an opportunity for members to get a "new-to-them" book for free, while still enjoying the core concept of reading together in companionable silence. Bring your favorite book and a wrapped book to share (DETAILS BELOW), a snack if you want, (drinks available for purchase) and enjoy a relaxing evening of reading alongside fellow book lovers. At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading and no pressure. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. Whether you're a speed reader or a slow reader, everyone is welcome to attend. Let's share the love of books together!

Silent Reading 6:30-7:30
Book Exchange 7:30-8.
Book Exchange Info: White Elephant Style!
* Wrap the books: Wrap the books without revealing their identity. You can write a clue or quote on the wrapping paper to entice others
* Bring good-quality used (or new if you’d like) books: Books should be in good condition, with no mold, strong odors, or significant damage.
* Draw numbers: Participants draw a number at the beginning of the meeting to determine the order in which they select a book
*Books will be exchanged during the second social time (7:30-8:00pm)
* Steal books: A person can either choose a new book from the pile or "steal" a book that has already been picked by another person. (Limit 2 steals per book)
* Open presents: The final step is to open all the wrapped books. If its a book you’ve already read, another swap can take place
*Any leftover books will be donated to Free Little Libraries in Yorkville (or you can take your brought book home with you)
