UCSB Jazz Ensemble is set to captivate audiences with a dynamic evening of jazz at SOhO Restaurant & Music Club on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM. This concert will spotlight the music of the legendary Herbie Hancock, with performances of some of his most celebrated compositions, including "Chameleon," "Tell Me a Bedtime Story," and "Cantaloupe Island." Under the direction of Jonathan Nathan, the UCSB Jazz Ensemble will showcase both large and small group arrangements, offering an exciting range of sounds that capture Hancock’s signature fusion of jazz, funk, and soul. The evening promises an immersive exploration of Hancock's groundbreaking musical influence, performed by some of the most talented student musicians from UCSB.
