Experience an evening of powerful symphonic music as the UCO Symphony Orchestra performs works by Copland, Barber, Mundende, and the Chickasaw Nation.The program features music by Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, Mundende, and the Chickasaw Nation, highlighting a blend of American masterworks and contemporary voices. The evening will open with a special guest performance by the Edmond Santa Fe High School Orchestra, directed by Sarah Neely.
Led by artist-in-residence Maestro Alexander Mickelthwate, the UCO Symphony Orchestra performs cornerstone symphonic repertoire alongside innovative new works. Mickelthwate, who also serves as music director and conductor of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, brings exceptional professional insight to UCO’s student musicians.
