UCL Repair Cafe: Electronics Repair Consultations - UCL East, Marshgate

Bring in your broken phone, laptop or household appliance to UCL East Marshgate for a one-to-one consultations with the expert fixers from the UCL community and local repair shop Sarasfix. Book a slot to attempt a repair of any small electrical and electronics you have at home - laptops, headphones, portable radios, lamps, kettles, toasters, printers and more!

At the event you will learn how to find faults, take apart and safely repair your own broken device with support from the UCL Repair Cafe volunteers. With a bit of help, you will become empowered to fix your own device, while learning the basics of repair and the importance of the Right to Repair. Come ready to learn!

To take part in the session you will need to bring:

• A small electronic or electrical product in need of repair. Back up any data beforehand!

• The product's power supply and any accessory which might be linked to the problem.

Besides this activity, we are hosting a range of other drop-in repair activities at our Repair Cafe at the UCL Marshgate, Friday 7th November from 12:00-16:00 (Last entry 15:30).

The Repair Cafe is an inter-departmental community event, sustained by expert volunteers from UCL Conservation, the Institute of Making, the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL Institute of Archaeology, Mechanical Engineering Researchers Society and Sustainable UCL.
