UBC OKANAGAN DEBATES
Are We Failing Youth?
Few questions divide Canadians, and generations, more sharply. Young adults face housing they can't afford, entry-level work reshaped by AI, and a mental-health crisis their parents never named. Yet they are also the best-educated, healthiest and most connected generation in history, holding tools no one before them had.
Both sides agree on the facts. They disagree strongly on what they add up to.
On September 16, four distinguished voices will tackle the question: Are we leaving a better world for the next generation? Two will argue yes. Two will argue no. You decide.
This is a free event with assigned seating. Pre-register to secure your seat.
