We will be offering a free demonstration open to the public of one of the best kept secrets in the martial arts.
The secret of how a system that looks as gentle and innocuous as T’ai Chi Ch’uan is actually an extremely effective, even deadly style of self-defense.
For hundreds of years the movements of the Tai Chi Ch’uan Form have hidden the actual applications of the movements.
We practice to develop our skills in an exercise called push hands or tui shou and we refer to our interaction as play.
Push hands play also masks much of the intention so it is not visible. It was determined that the movements were so effective they needed to be hidden so they would not be abused. 
This exhibition will be taking place on Wednesday, July 15th at the Karate Church on 519 E. Maple St. at 6pm in Bellingham, Washington.
