TYPEography/ York illustrators meet-up / Drawvik

Let's talk about typography! What's your favourite font? Do you love hand lettering? Are you a signwriter? How can illustrators use WORDS as part of their practice and portfolio?

Whether youcreate typography regularly or you've never illustrated lettering before, we'll take a look at some reference books and see if we can master the basics or expand our current knowledge.

Bring your favourite examples of typography, either your own or another artist's work that you love. Don't forget sketchbooks, paper, and your preferred drawing materials!

Free as always (but ticketed so we can plan numbers).

Drawvik is a meet up group for illustrators in and around York and is part of the network of illustrator meet-ups supported by the AOI. Hosted by Becki Harper.

Open to illustrators of all backgrounds and career stages. Drawvik is a supportive, lively hub to share inspirations, exercise some creative muscles and connect with like-minded folks.
