Txana Iba Huni Kuin - Thessaloniki Greece 17-22 September 2025

Dear friends of the Amazon Indigenous,

We are happy to inform you that in September 2025, representatives of Amazonian tribe, Txana Ibã Huni Kuin, will visit us in Greece.

The Sacred Circle of Medicinal Plants will be led by Txana Ibã Huni Kuin, ceremony leader of Huni Kuin tribe and advocate for Amazonian tribal people, raising awareness and seeking help in protecting the Amazon rainforest, its tribes, rivers and all the ancient trees, plants and animals that inhabit them. They are the guardians of the great forest and the voice of Mother Amazonian.

His intention in Greece is to spread their ancient wisdom, their medicinal plants and heal. The Huni Kuin tribe wants to join us in raising global spiritual awareness and saving the Amazon and the entire planet. It is a great honor that such master comes to Greece and share their ancient knowledge with us.

Rapé Ceremony and concert

Rapé is a sacred medicine from the amazon forest, it’s a mix of tobacco and ashes from various plants from the jungle. It can help us ground, connect deeper with our essence and cleanse everything that does not serve us.

During this process we will be accompanied by instruments and sacred chants that are designed to bring healing and joy to our hearts.

It will be a space for celebration, dancing and joy!

At least 48 hours before the event, it is not recommended to drink alcohol because it can cause nausea.

On the day of the ceremony, eat light food and do not eat anything else at least 3 hours before the start of the ceremony.

If you play an instrument, bring it with you.

Huni Kuin Hampaya Ceremony and Concert

Hampaya is known as the voice opening ceremony of the Huni Kuin indigenous group from the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest.

In this ceremony, the leader invokes the spirit of the Txana bird, a bird that can imitate all sounds of the forest, the best singer. He applies special paste from crushed chili peppers (pimenta do reino) to participants tongues while simultaneously praying in his native language. This allows the opening and strengthening of the participant's voice, to sing and express oneself better.

In this highly valued and mystical workshop Txana Ibã from Novo Futuro invite you to explore the ancient technology of voice opening prayers and chants through the traditional songs of their people. These sacred prayers, passed down through generations, hold the key to invoking the spirits of the medicines, to bring in healing and harmony.

The workshop delves into the three essential phases of invoking the voice ceremony prayer—calling the force (Pãe txanimá), invoking the visions (Hawã Dau Tibuya), and balancing the force (Kaya Tibu). Each chant serves a distinct purpose, contributing to the healing, cleansing, and harmonizing of individuals and the space.

Huni Kuin night ritual

During the night ritual there will be work with, traditional medicinal plants.

A traditional Huni Kuin night ritual unfolds in three phases:

• Opening Invocation – The Txaná begins with Huni Meka chants that invite ancestors, forest spirits, plants, animals, and the elements, establishing a protective space.

• Inner Work – Each participant sits with the medicine and journeys inward; visions, insights, and release unfold at an individual pace.

• Celebration of Life – When the collective work settles, the music lifts into joyful songs, rattles, and dance, sealing the healing with gratitude and collective joy.

Throughout the night the Txaná carefully steers the rituals energy, ensuring every song, pause, and movement serves both the well-being of the circle and the spirit of the forest.

Each successive night builds on the last, letting the medicine and songs reach deeper layers of healing, strengthen group trust, and anchor insights that might surface only with continuous guidance.

Huni Kuin night ceremonies

The night experience is designed for three nights and we encourage you to make the time available for the best experience. Night rituals includes simple accommodation in a mixed room and vegan meals.

Full three night rituals: 550€

We understand that sometimes it is not possible to participate in all three nights.

One night ritual: 300€ - Two night rituals: 475€

Venue is 30-40 minutes outside of Thessaloniki and location will be given to participants before the event.
