TWS Trade Night

Welcome to our first ever TWS Trade night!!! This event will allow a safe space for our community to come together and trade in a comfortable neutral environment surrounded by peers who can help make sure everything is fair!!!
Bring your kiddos to learn how to trade and look up their cards! Our staff will be available to show folks how to use tcgplayer and how to make sure their cards are conditioned properly! We want to arm our community against unfair treatment from folks who might not have their best interest at heart!
A few rules!
1. Any sales/trades involving cash exchanges will need to be approved by our staff! We will not allow any aggressive buying (buying at a percentage to resell). We will allow fair exchanges.
2. No aggressive trading (trading at a % for the purposes of reselling). We will allow percentage trades when card values or conditions differ greatly or even under some other circumstances. We just arnt allowing trade ups for the purpose of increasing value on your inventory. If you are coming strictly for business purposes then please ask us for more information about our upcoming Vendor/Business trade nights! (Announcements are coming soon!) Still feel free to come and exchange your stagnant inventory for something you may be able to move but know that it will be market for market trades only for this event! We want to keep things casual and the pressure down so that new folks can come learn in a safe place!
3. Food and Drinks with LIDS are welcomed! Just keep it all off the playmats please.
4. Any trades made from our shop binders will still have to be done at our normal percentages because business is business. However we will have our personal collections there as well and might be willing to make some trades if the right cards pass our table. I know I will be looking for some of my One Piece chases.
5. Any and all trades with Minors will need to be approved with our staff! Most circumstances these will be approved no problem. However if we see anyone trying to get one over on a kid they will be asked to leave and banned from all future events without question! At TWS all kids are like our kids and will be protected as such!!!
6. TWS is a safe space! This means for EVERYONE!!! Regardless or race, religion, gender, or age The Wizard's Shelf is a safe place where you can be yourself and be passionate about the things you love! Anyone participating in "bully" behavior will promptly be asked to leave and to not return! We are a safe place for kids, disabled folks, LGBTQ+, and anyone else you can think of! We will stand up for the rights of others no matter what! It's literally part of our store policy to speak out against bullying and unfair treatment. 😀
We want to cultivate a safe atmosphere where folks can feel confident in their trades. We want new collectors, kids, and parents of kids to be able to learn how to trade, look up, and condition their cards!!! Our staff will be available to help coach in all these categories. We will help you navigate tcgplayer for the first time so that you know exactly what you are trading/buying/selling going forward.
