On Saturday, 28 September 2024, Bernd Scholl and Steve Baltes invite you to an extraordinary double concert entitled "Two Worlds - One Spirit" at the Zeiss Planetarium Bochum. The motto stands for the different styles presented by the two musicians and the shared enthusiasm of both artists for music in general.Bernd Scholl's compositions can best be described as "Music between Earth & Sky". The artful balance of earthy downtempo grooves, gripping melodies and relaxed, spherical ambient and chill-out sounds makes his sensual sound creations internationally recognised and unmistakable. Bernd Scholl regularly gives live concerts in churches and magical caves and is one of Germany's leading planetarium musicians. In over 40 years of artistic work, he has released numerous albums. He has also worked live and in the studio with musicians such as Nik Tyndall, Gandalf and Rüdiger Gleisberg. In his planetarium concert, Bernd Scholl will present brand new tracks from his latest albums "Quiet Time" and "The Winds of Autumn" as well as older tracks from his anniversary album "Light of the Moon" and other compositions from his extensive repertoire. His music will touch the hearts of the audience and invite them to dream.
This is a rare opportunity for Steve Baltes to perform solo after his appearance at the Electronic Circus 2023. Baltes is a well-known name in the world of electronic music, not least due to his many years as a member of the legendary Berlin formation Ashra with Manuel Göttsching, Lutz Ulbrich and Harald Grosskopf. He has been working successfully with Stefan Erbe since 2014, resulting in three albums and numerous fascinating live events that impressively demonstrate the modern interpretation of traditional electronic music. His solo concerts are a special experience, characterised by mysterious urban atmospheres and ambient landscapes. Improvised live, hypnotic grooves and sequences merge into intoxicating synthetic soundscapes that captivate the audience.
Experience two extraordinary musicians in a double concert under the artificial starry sky of the Bochum Planetarium. Klaus-Dieter Unger will be responsible for the visual realisation, whose presentation, perfectly coordinated with the sounds of the artists, will provide additional excitement!
