The Hybrid Gallery is very pleased to announce Two-Step Thursday: a night of dance lessons and live country music on April 9. Catch a beginner-friendly, gender-inclusive two-step lesson from 7:30-8:30, then try out your new dance moves before two live country bands (Eugene's PigHogSwine and Emerald City Roadkill) until late. All for an accessible $10-20 sliding scale.Emerald City Roadkill is a six-piece band from country music's "Emerald City": Eugene, Oregon. An island of electrified country music in Eugene's sea of bluegrass, they play a highly-danceable mix of classic and original tunes drawing from the honky-tonk, western swing, country blues, and conjunto traditions.
PigHogSwine is a country/jazz band from Eugene, Oregon. They play a variety of classic Western swing and jazz standards, as well as some old-time country numbers. The band’s members include Dominic Robison on guitar and steel guitar, Elijah McFarlane on dobro, guitar and drums, Aedan Seaver on fiddle, Gabriel Martinez on bass, and Ean Schultz on tenor saxophone. All members contribute vocals.
