Two Minds • One Mission is a Brain-Centered Horsemanship clinic designed to help you better understand how horses think, feel, and learn—and how your own mindset directly influences your horse.
Brain-Centered Horsemanship isn't another method. It's a lens through which every method should be evaluated.
When you understand how the horse's brain learns, you gain a practical framework for recognizing which approaches support learning, confidence, and partnership—and which may unintentionally create stress, confusion, or unwanted behaviors.
This is a no-nonsense, supportive clinic where pressure is replaced with understanding and progress is built through clarity, curiosity, and trust.

Both clinic days are open to the public.
Each day features the same Brain-Centered Horsemanship curriculum, so simply choose the day that best fits your schedule.

What This Clinic Focuses On
Participants will experience thoughtfully designed learning sessions that may include:
engaging brain-based discussions
groundwork
bodywork demonstrations
obstacle work (in-hand and/or riding)
practical handling skills you can use every day
Every activity has a purpose—not simply to complete an obstacle, but to help you better understand how your horse thinks, learns, and communicates.
All sessions are designed to be brain-friendly, horse-friendly, and human-friendly—no overwhelm, no rushing, no pressure.

This clinic is built around the 7 C's:
Cognition • Communication • Connection • Confidence • Conditioning • Choice • Clicker™
You'll learn:
how horses and humans influence one another biologically
the brain principles behind learning and behavior
why emotional state always affects performance
how fear changes the ability to think and learn
how groundwork, bodywork, and obstacles can build confidence instead of compliance
how to recognize subtle body language before problems escalate
how to preserve curiosity while creating willing, confident horses
practical ways to introduce clicker training

Clinic Format
Each clinic day includes demonstrations, group discussion, and hands-on coaching designed to support both horse and rider.
Auditors are encouraged and often leave with just as many "aha" moments as participants working with horses.

Wendy Shaffer
Masterson Method® Certified Practitioner
Wendy specializes in helping horses feel better in their bodies so they can think better with their minds—giving owners practical ways to support comfort, movement, and overall well-being.
Together, Jenn and Wendy believe that the strongest partnerships are built by caring for the whole horse—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
