Two-Color Woodcut Workshop
About this Event
Join us for the Two-Color Woodcut Workshop at Write253! Tacoma printmaker, Yoshi Nakagawa, will guide you through the process of carving your design into two 4"x6" woodblocks and creating unique, two-color prints. Explore different transfer and registration techniques, carving methods, mixing color with oil-based ink, and hand printing proofs and two washi (mulberry paper) prints. If you have time to prepare before the workshop, please bring a two-color 4”x 6” rough sketch or image you’d like to work with. Take these skills with you to make prints at home once you have the materials! No prerequisite, but experience with one-color linocut is helpful.
