Hello Marauders!
Come and join us on 6.5 mile route between Castell Coch and Cardiff Castle along the Taff Trail through Tongwynlais, Forest Farm Country Park, and Hailey Park and onwards through Llandaff, Pontcanna & Bute Park. It's a very flat and leisurely walk along mainly tarmac paths that will be suitable for most people. We've graded it a Level 6-7 walk on our Marauders walk scale.
This is a point-to-point walk with plenty to see along the way that finishes in the city centre. There are multiple transport options for getting yourself back home or to the start point to collect your car. Trains, buses, city-bikes or even a walk back up the Taff Trail if you're feeling really fit!
Some of the guys will be doing a 6-mile circular walk so that they get back to Castell Coch to pick up their cars. We'll all start together and follow the same 1st 3-miles before those that need to turn back can do so.
For those that do get to Cardiff you can have the option of extending your day by staying down in the city and having a bite to eat and a few drinks with your fellow Marauders.

Castell Coch is only a short walking distance from Taffs Well train station so this could be a good place to park up if you're travelling back from Cardiff by train.
