Twmpath & Fundraiser

You may remember our Twmpath event back in 2022 – well, it’s back!

SCoS is collaborating with SASS to bring another Traditional Welsh Barn Dance to St James Church, as a fun evening and fundraiser for both charities.

Entry is £10 per person, which includes a free drink. Entry is free for asylum seekers.

All donations and funds raised will be split between SCoS and SASS.

What is a Twmpath?

A Twmpath or Traditional Welsh Barn dance, is similar to a Cèilidh, and includes a live folk band and a caller who teaches and guides the dancers. It can be enjoyed by all, either as a spectator or dancer, the choice is yours!

About Swansea Asylum Seekers Support (SASS)

SASS is a volunteer-led registered charity, run and managed by our members, who include asylum seekers, refugees and other local people. We give a warm welcome to people seeking sanctuary in Swansea through our twice-weekly drop-ins, and offer practical support, educational and recreational opportunities.

About Swansea City of Sanctuary (SCoS)

SCoS is a volunteer-led charity which works to build a culture of welcome across Swansea. As part of the wider City of Sanctuary movement, it collaborates with local organisations, schools, and community groups to promote inclusion, awareness, and support for people seeking sanctuary.
