Twixmas Tales brings families together for folk-inspired stories in the historic setting of the Red House Museum. Expect an inviting atmosphere filled with interaction, seasonal music and movement in our main gallery.
Families can enjoy enchanting winter folk tales about snow-bright skies, woodland magic and merry traditions that capture the spirit of Twixmas. Amanda’s sessions are interactive, with sing-alongs, gentle percussion, props and movement to spark imagination. Children and adults are encouraged to join in, making this a shared experience rather than a passive one.
Have you ever wondered who really makes the snow, or where tinsel comes from? Does Father Frost really live in a castle on a mountain? And what would the animals do, if one year the sun forgot to return?
Professional storyteller Amanda Kane-Smith will answer all these questions as she brings enchanting folktales full of Winter magic to life!
Amanda’s high-energy, interactive storytelling will engage all the family with lots of participation and lots of fun!
For ages 3 plus

Performances take place at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, in an accessible ground-floor space.
