Twister Pictures Academy: How To Make a Short Film Workshop 03

Ever felt like you have the ability to make a better quality film 🍿? Are you always under a time constraint that you're unable to dedicate time to your passion ⏰? Do you want to develop your network and meet new creatives in a workshop setting 💫?

We welcome you to the second class in our workshop series, where we will learn about pitching and you'll be tasked to create your own in a group. You'll pitch to the class and the winning idea will be made into a short film in these workshops.

This is a practical 8 session workshop, held once every two weeks on Saturday's. You learn. And you'll make a film 🎥. Here is a project brief of the film you will be required to make:

• 2-5 minutes runtime
• Genre specific
• Scripted Narrative
• 1 location
• Minimum 2 actors.

Twister Pictures 🌪️ is a film distribution company based in Birmingham and Manchester specialised in acquiring and showcasing independant stories to audiences across the UK 🇬🇧.

We are now establishing Twister Pictures Academy in Manchester and you are our first cohort 🎉! Our eight part workshop is dedicated to the following Learning Objectives:

1. Learn how to fit into a production team and the skills you need to succeed in this setting.
2. Understand the Technical side of short filmmaking as you make your collaborative project using our High End Equipment.
3. Awareness into how to elevate your story to screen through mentorship and team feedback.

How will our sessions work 🤔? Twister Pictures Academy will occur once every two weeks on Saturday between 2pm-4pm. (Location may vary). Our workshops are a Pay As You Go service, with a very Special Offer of £5 per session 💷. Each session will have light refreshments and access to pens and paper.

The workshops are inclusive to everyone, whether you want to be an actor, director, DOP or Make Up Artist - you are welcome here.
