Join us for a monthly writing group for and by BIPOC Twin Cities writers at Open Book.
About this Event

This group was created by and for BIPOC writers looking for a safe and caring space to explore their writing, get feedback, and build community.

So many writing spaces in the Twin Cities are predominantly white. We aim to decolonize our creative space and welcome those who are Black, IPOC, Asian, Biracial, immigrants, disabled, trans/non-binary/queer, and or have been impacted by systems of oppression. Please do not register if you identify as white.

We write to find peace, heal, slow down, and resist.

All forms of writing are welcome, but the organizers practice poetry, essays, and non-fiction. We plan to have space to connect, write, and give/recieve feedback.

Locations will likely rotate and not be made public due to safety reasons.

Beginning Sunday, September 3rd we will be meeting monthly on the first Sunday of every month from 2:00 - 3:30 PM CST.
