Join us for the Inaugural Twilight Trail 5K — an evening trail race set in the beautiful mountain setting of Kanuga.Registration opens this Thursday, February 19, 2026.
This 5K is designed to be welcoming, scenic, and just the right mix of fun and challenge. Whether you’re new to trail running or a seasoned runner looking for a unique summer race, this course showcases the variety and character of the Kanuga property.
Race Distance
• 5K (3.1 miles)
• Mix of single-track trail, double-track trail, forest road, and paved roads
• Gentle climbs balanced with runnable flats
The course offers dynamic terrain without being overly technical, creating an approachable and engaging evening race experience.
There’s something special about racing at twilight — cooler temps, long summer light, and a relaxed mountain atmosphere to kick off your weekend.
Make It a Full Weekend
The Twilight Trail 5K is a standalone event — but it also pairs perfectly with Sunday’s Inaugural Kanuga Triathlon.
Race Saturday evening, stay on property, enjoy food options on site, relax and hang out, then line up Sunday morning for the triathlon.
Complete both events and earn a special RUN WNC towel as part of the full weekend challenge.
