Experience Shakespeare like you've never seen it before! Join Eastern Iowa Arts Academy for the world premiere of a bold new adaptation of Twelfth Night, transformed into the vibrant world of the fictional "Illyria Fest" music festival.
Filled with mistaken identities, live music, romance, and plenty of laughs, this fresh take on the classic comedy features an entirely local cast, musicians, and creative team. Come celebrate the launch of our inaugural full-length theatre production in our new home at Arthur Elementary School!
Play Summary:
Viola, separated from her twin Sebastian, believing him dead, dresses as a boy and works for the Duke Orsino, with whom she falls in love with. Orsino is in love with the Countess Olivia, and sends Viola to court her for him, but Olivia falls for Viola instead. Sebastian arrives, causing a flood of mistaken identity. Hilarity ensues!
Aug. 28-30 and Sept. 4-6
7:30pm (Fri/Sat), 2:30 (Sun matinee)
Tickets $15 preshow and $20 at the door (to pay our actors honorably for their performances)
We will have 10 tickets per performance set aside for "pay what you can", first come first serve. Donations are always welcome.
