About our speaker:
Young Boozer currently serves as Alabama's State Treasurer, an office he has held in multiple terms since first being elected in 2011. Born in Birmingham and raised right here in Tuscaloosa, he brings decades of experience to the role. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University and a master's degree in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and spent nearly five decades in banking, finance, and investments before entering public service. As Treasurer, he oversees the state's funds, investments, unclaimed property, and savings programs - and he's known for a strong record of saving taxpayer dollars.
