Cockburn’s wetlands are home to the near-threatened Snake-necked Turtle, and the City is working with the community to help protect this unique species through the Save Our Snake-necked Turtle (SOSNT) program and our specially trained Turtle Trackers. With Turtle Tracker teams caring for wetlands across Cockburn, there are plenty of places we need your help!
To prepare for the upcoming nesting season, we’re inviting new volunteers to attend one of our upcoming training sessions. These sessions will equip you with the knowledge and skills to support turtle conservation efforts in your local area:
