Before Mayor Nikki Williams was leading Coffs Harbour, there was Nikki, the green sea turtle, ruling the waves (well, trying to—before her little entanglement situation). 🐢✨
Nikki’s a local legend, making waves (literally) since she was rescued at Gallows Beach in January 2024. Thanks to your support, our three-flippered queen has been nursed back to health, and now it’s time for her royal return to the ocean! 🌊 👑
To make it extra special, Mayor Nikki Williams and the team from City of Coffs Harbour will be joining us to send her off in style. 🎉
💙 WHEN: Sunday 6 April, 11am sharp
💙 WHERE: North Wall Beach (opposite the Yacht Club)
💙 WHY: Because Nikki deserves a VIP send-off!

Please arrive promptly so as not to miss out on this special journey that lies ahead for the turtle. Turtle releases are always very quick, to help reduce the wait time for the animal, especially if they have travelled to get to their location.
