Theatrical Premiere of ‘The Responders’

Turning the Tide 2026 will also host the world theatrical premiere of The Responders, a new feature documentary chronicling the journeys of several 9/11 first responders and family members on and after September 11, 2001.

The premiere will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 11, and will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, John Kirby, and some of its protagonists.

Lodging

Save 50% on your hotel by staying at the Aloft by Marriott Harlem, a short 8-minute drive from El Museo del Barrio. Most of the speakers and organizers will also be staying there. Our group rate of $255 to $270 per night is the lowest you’ll find. Must reserve by August 16th.

For a more upscale option that is relatively close to the venue, we recommend The Lucerne New York. For a more affordable option if rooms are no longer available at the Aloft, we recommend the Night Hotel Broadway.
