You are invited to attend our ongoing series of Sound Mind Sound Body Programming. Turner Talks provide educational, relevant, and enlightening information to our audiences on a variety of subjects. These events are free and open to the public. When the city of New Ulm celebrated its centennial year in 1954 the town had a nationwide reputation for music. New Ulm's music history is made up of diverse musical genres and the New Ulm Turnverein has played an important role in support of music, having provided the social center of the community for nearly 170 years. Representing the New Ulm Municipal Band, New Ulm's service band for nearly 80 years. Dan Groebner will share stories of places, events and people who have contributed to New Ulm's rich musical heritage.
