About this Event

MIMA, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, hosts this year’s Turner Prize — the UK’s biggest and most exciting art award ever! Located in the heart of Middlesbrough’s Centre Square, MIMA will host this very special event from 26 September 2026 - 29 March 2027.

We are inviting teachers, teaching assistants and professionals who serve children of all ages to enjoy these special CPD events for FREE.

• Creative Play for Teachers: Summer Sketchbooks (Friday 24 July)
• Creative Play for Teachers: Turner Prize Explorations (Tuesday 27 October)
• Creative Play for Teachers: Turner Prize Reimagined (Monday 15 February)

All sessions are 10am – 12pm and held at MIMA or the Teesside University campus. Full details provided on sign up.
