In this practical, plain-English session, the MCL Construction team (in person) facilitates a walkthrough of the post-award systems that keep projects moving, invoices approved, and scope under control. You’ll see exactly how to organize files, track work, document changes, and close out cleanly—then leave with plug-and-play checklists and templates you can use on your next job.

You’ll learn how to:

• Invoice the right way: set a cadence, assemble backup (percent-complete, photos, delivery tickets), handle retainage, and avoid rejections.
• Track deliverables & milestones: align progress to payment and set owner/prime expectations with simple status updates.
• Control scope early: log RFIs and notices, quantify time/cost impacts, and issue clean change orders that get approved.
• Watch the money: basic project controls—burn rate, WIP, budget-vs-actuals—to spot margin leaks before they grow.
• Stay compliant without slowing work: insurance certificates, reports, safety/labor docs, and organized records.
• Close out on time: punchlist, O&M manuals, as-builts, lien waivers, final invoice, and retainage release checklist.
