Özlem is back! One of our favorite food writers, Özlem is delighted to be returning to her favorite Central Market Cooking School to teach a demo class with recipes from her new, award-winning cookery book SEBZE, Vegetarian recipes from my Turkish kitchen.
Özlem is a huge fan of Central Market, where she thought as a guest chef for over 5 years, when she lived in Austin. There will be copies of her new book SEBZE available at the class for you to buy, and Özlem will be happy to sign the book for you.
You will be treated to a delicious menu from Özlem’s Turkish heritage, as always, she will give recipe and prep ahead tips, and share stories from her homeland, Türkiye.
ABOUT ¨Özlem Warren
JÖzlem Warren is an award-winning author, Turkish food writer and cookery teacher. She frequently travels to teach Turkish cookery in the USA, Türkiye, UK, Europe and Jordan. Her recipes and articles are published in major newspapers and magazines including Waitrose Food Magazine, Waitrose Weekend, Good Food magazine, delicious. magazine, Food and Travel, Olive magazine, National Geographic Traveller, The New York Times Cooking, The Washington Post, Milk Street Magazine, VOGUE Türkiye, Hürriyet Daily News and Sabah Daily. Her debut book, Özlem’s Turkish Table, won the Gourmand Best in the World award in Food Heritage in 2020. Özlem’s 2nd cookery book, SEBZE, Vegetarian recipes from my Turkish kitchen, won the Gourmand Best in the World award in Vegetarian category in 2025. Özlem is passionate about her homeland; she has hosted numerous culinary tours to İstanbul and Türkiye, also takes part in Milk Street & Culinary Backstreets İstanbul culinary tours.
