Turkey Mountain Summer Mountain Bike Camp! More Confident Riders

This is the perfect "Intro to Mountain Biking" for young riders ready to leave the pavement behind. Coaches will guide riders onto the dirt to learn the fundamentals of off-road riding. From body positioning to navigating basic obstacles, this week is packed with trail riding and skill-building for adventurous youth.

Intro to MTB Camp introduces riders ages 5–12 to the fundamentals of mountain biking in a supportive, confidence-building environment.

Designed for kids ages 5–12 who are comfortable pedaling on two wheels, but have higher confidence on dirt but ready to improve.

Our certified coaches teach foundational trail-riding skills through guided rides and skill-based challenges. Riders learn body position, braking, shifting, and how to navigate natural terrain safely and confidently.

Trail etiquette, awareness, and decision-making are emphasized so riders learn how to ride responsibly as part of a trail community.

Riders practice applying skills on varied terrain, learning how to manage speed, corners, and changing trail conditions. Progression is based on confidence and control, not speed or competition.

Our goal is always for kids to leave twice as stoked about being on their bikes as when they arrived. Riders leave with the skills, awareness, and confidence needed to continue exploring trails with excitement and respect.

The "Ditch the Training Wheels Tour" is driven by a singular mission: to double the number of kids on bikes across the United States. While Pedal Kids USA operates year-round in Northwest Arkansas and Kansas City, this tour allows them to deploy several teams of traveling coaches to bring high-quality instruction and excitement to communities they don't usually reach and they are coming to Tulsa!
