*** CUT OFF DATE TO R.S.V.P.***Because of the need to order the materials and the desire to not order any more than is needed, the cut off date to R.S.V.P. for the class will be October 15th. When you R.S.V.P. you will need to comment on the page (see post under discussion tab) or message William Murphy and say what style of fan you are wanting to make (Tail or Wing).
William is back with another workshop. This time he will be teaching on the making and using of feather fans. Along with the crafting come teachings, and a ceremony.
We will begin the class with going over the Migratory Bird Treaty and why it is necessary. We will move forward with a lesson on receiving from nature in a good way, then stories and information in regards to Turkey, whose feathers we will be using in the crafting of these fans, Pine, whose wood makes up the handles, and Deer, whose hide will be available for those who wish to cover their fans with the material.
Cost: $45 per person, payable in cash at the beginning of class.
