Join us on the morning of your Thanksgiving Day for our Turkey Escape 5k & 1 miler! Packet pick-up will be on Wednesday November 26, 2025 between 4pm-7pm in the beer garden of Thompson Island Brewing Company in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. During packet pickup we will have live music from Catch The Drift and invite you to enjoy a mouth watering dinner, or drink, with Thompson Island Brewing Company, an award winning craft beer and food establishment that we are so fortunate to have in our local area.
Day Of Packet Pickup and Registration will begin at 7am. Breakfast snacks such as granola bars, bagels, fruit bars, fruit, water, hot chocolate, coffee, will be provided.
The Turkey Escape 5k & 1 miler start of events is at 8:00AM with our free Kiddie K. Kiddie K participants must be under 9 years old and do not need to check in but do receive a goodie bag which can be picked up at their finish line. Awards to be announced shortly after the 5k & 1 miler concludes by Races 2 Run. Beer and Seltzers will be provided for those that are over 21 years of age. Top winners & fundraising group will receive a turkey trophy and prize. Age Category Winners will receive a medal. Early registration participants will receive a long sleeve Turkey Escape shirt. We can not guarantee shirts for Late or Day of registrants but these will be available as our extra supply exists.
Parking is free. You may park in the large lots behind Thompson Island Brewing Company. The surrounding stores and restaurants will be closed on Thanksgiving Day with the exception of Wawa next door. Please do not park at Wawa so that their customers have ample parking spaces.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact the foundation. All volunteers who are signed up by November 1st to volunteer will receive a Turkey Escape shirt.
