Turiya - A Sitar Sound Journey

This experience will weave Indian classical music with modern ambient music to create a shifting meditative soundscape. We’ll start with a brief introduction to what Ragas are, as well as some of the Vedic concepts expressed in the music to help deepen your appreciation. The music will take you on an emotional journey into an inner stillness. The sound can be described as calming, meditative, and psychedelic.

Please bring mats, blanket, pillows or anything that will help you stay comfortable during the performance.

Miles is a Los Angeles–based sitarist offering immersive, meditative sound experiences rooted in North Indian classical music. For the past five years, he has studied under internationally touring sitarist Rajib Karmakar, whose mentorship has guided Miles in developing his own voice within this tradition.

Miles' sound is a fusion of modern ambient music and traditional Indian Classical compositions. The listening experience will gently guide you into a deep meditative state where time ceases to exist. So come unplug and melt into the cosmic ocean of consciousness.
