More about your event host:
The Heritage Garden Program is a free garden certification program dedicated to helping folks create water-wise landscapes and gardens that incorporate native plants of Washington State. Heritage Gardens also honor the unique natural and cultural features of the Columbia River Basin and utilize sustainable practices. Program services are free and include site visits, custom plant lists, planting plans and technical advice on watersmart gardening in our region. The program is offered free of charge to folks in Benton County through the Benton Conservation District. www.hgcd.info https://www.bentoncd.org/
Program funding for Heritage Gardens in Benton County for the 25-27 Biennium is provided in part by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology through the Municipal Subgroup of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan. The Yakima Basin Integrated Plan promotes efficient use of municipal and domestic water throughout the Yakima Basin using voluntary, incentive-based actions that focus on landscape irrigation, and other consumptive uses.
