Tumor Takedown Tailgate 5 to benefit National Brain Tumor Society
About this Event
In 2016, Indianapolis native, Adam Hayden, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer at 34 years old. This rare life-limiting disease is underfunded in the research landscape, with a five year survival rate of only 5%. Adam went on to survive 9.5 years after doctors told him he'd only live for around 18 months. Motivated by Adam's terminal diagnosis and a desire to prevent other families from facing a similar situation, he and his wife, Whitney, founded the Tumor Takedown Tailgate. To date, the TTT has raised more than $85,000 to benefit National Brain Tumor Society to fund critical research into this deadly disease. Tragically, Adam's life was cut short by this terrible disease on December 20, 2025. So much of his 9.5 years with this diagnosis was spent advocating for brain cancer patients and their families, research, and government funding and also loving his three sons and wife, Whitney. It was his wish that the Tumor Takedown Tailgate continued in perpetuity after his death.
