At the intersection of fashion and fantasy, Brady Pappas captures the vibrant essence of queer culture in South Central Pennsylvania. Known for intimate photography of the underground nightlife scene at drag shows, dance parties, and gay bars, Brady's work celebrates the joy and resilience of the queer community. Beyond the dance floor, their ongoing portrait series Tulle Queer provides a space for the community to celebrate one another.
Tulle Queer is an annual exhibition launched in 2022 that showcases colorful portraits adorned with tulle fabric, honoring LGBTQ+ icons and chosen family shaping small-town queer life. Each year, Brady creates a collection of images celebrating local icons and debuts the images for the first time at the event. This year, the Tulle Queer exhibition will return to West Art in Lancaster, PA for one night only on June 13th, 2025.
Similar to last year's exhibition, the show will also feature an art market with local queer vendors, along with performances by Lancaster-based drag icons Nevaeha Le’Vixenn, Charlize Angelz and more! Join us from 5-9 PM to celebrate Pride and the strength of our community. More details to come!
