Tufting 101: Rug making workshop for beginner

Tufting is basically drawing—
But instead of a pencil, you’re using yarn.
At Dotty, we use the newest Clawlab tufting gun for a lighter, easier, and safer to bring the most relaxing and beginner-friendly tufting experience in Toronto.
To make sure your tufting experience is as smooth and fun as possible, we review and approve all design submissions before the workshop. Keep an eye on your inbox for our email update.
Workshop duration (approx.)
Small (50 × 50 cm): 2.5–3.5 hours, $119
Medium (70 × 70 cm): 3–4.5 hours, $149
Large (90 × 90 cm): 5+ hours, $199
What’s included
- A fully set-up tufting station (your design pre-traced and ready to tuft)
- Pre-selected yarns match your design (feel free to switch things up)
- Tufting beginner introduction and instruction
- Support throughout your entire session
- All post-tufting finishing: gluing, trimming, and professional backing
We want your piece to look professional, so we take care of the finishing for you. This process might takes 2 hours –5 days (depanding on how busy we are), and we’ll email you as soon as your rug is ready for pickup.
