Over the last 14+ years “Tuesdays with the Bard @ Urban Solace” poets have wrung tears of joy, nods of recognition, fleeting smiles, happy applause, wistful memories ... and several unforgettable poems.
ABOUT THE POET: APARNA AGARWAL
Aparna finds stories everywhere - in ordinary conversations, in the way light falls through windows, in moments that would otherwise slip away unnoticed.
She's written over 100 poems because sometimes you need words to capture what your heart sees. Her spoken word performances have taken her to stages across the country, from the Bangalore Language Festival to the Goa Arts and Literature Festival, and she's been featured by Open Sky Slam and YourQuote poetry, sharing these small discoveries with anyone willing to listen.
When she's not writing, you might find her on stage diving into improv where anything can happen, or creating art that tries to hold onto fleeting things - like her solo exhibit "Archiving the Ephemeral" where she tried to preserve flowers and leaves in bookmarks and postcards. She's also shared stories on the international podcast Story Collider, exploring what feels magical in everyday moments.
Through all of it, she's just someone who believes there's beauty in the everyday world, and sometimes we need to pause and point it out to each other.
