Learn about the importance of native milkweed plants, how they support pollinators, and how to successfully grow and maintain them in your landscape. This educational program will cover plant selection, site preparation, care techniques, and the role milkweed plays in supporting monarch butterflies and other beneficial insects.
This workshop will be presented by Carmen Flammini, Extension Agent for Baldwin County, through the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
Cost: $10 per person
Payment accepted at the door (cash or check only).
This program is open to the public and designed for gardeners of all experience levels. Whether you are new to native plants or looking to expand your pollinator habitat, this session will provide practical, research-based gardening information you can use at home.

This workshop is part of the Tuesdays with Master Gardeners – March in Bloom 2026 Spring Workshop Series, hosted by the Baldwin County Master Gardeners in partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. These educational programs provide research-based gardening information designed to help home gardeners succeed in Home Gardening in our local growing conditions.
Each Tuesday session features a different seasonal gardening topic presented by Extension professionals and experienced Master Gardeners. Participants are welcome to attend one session or the entire series.
