A USCF-rated classical game every Tuesday night in Chesterfield. The first weekly tournament series organized on the U.S. mainland by a Puerto Rican chess club, presented in collaboration with the Chess Cardinals Club.
Format: Swiss system, two sections. One round per week, a fresh edition every month.
Dates: Tuesdays, September 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29
Time: Rounds begin at 6:00 PM. Registration closes at 5:30 PM. Forfeit time is 45 minutes.
Time control: G/60;+30, USCF Regular rated
Location: Chess Cardinals Club, 42 Four Seasons Shopping Center, Suite 44D, Chesterfield, MO 63017
Sections: Under 1800 (1500–1799) and 1800+. Your section is set by the higher of your verified USCF regular or FIDE standard rating. No playing up or down. If fewer than six players enter a section, sections merge into a single open for that edition.
Eligibility: 1500 or higher (USCF or FIDE), verified at registration. Current USCF membership required through September 29; you can add or renew it during signup. No FIDE membership required.
Entry: $10 per night, or $7.50 per night with a full-month sign-up (25% off)]. Players rated 2100+ (USCF or FIDE) play free.
No registration deadline: Sign up any week of the month. Pay only for the Tuesdays you choose, and any night you skip counts as a half-point bye, so you always stay in the standings.
Trophies: First place in each section, donated by the Chess Cardinals Club, awarded the first Tuesday of the following month. A minimum of three games played is required to be eligible.
