Chess Simultaneous Exhibition Guidelines
1. Registration: Players interested in participating in the simultaneous exhibition should register in advance.
2. Time Control: There is no time control predetermined. However, we encourage the player to move only when the exhibitor walk in front your board. This ensures that all games progress at a similar pace.
3. Game setup: The players are usually seated in a circle or u share setup. The exhibitor play all the games with white pieces.
4. Game Start: The games commence simultaneously, with the exhibitor making the first move on each board. The exhibitor then proceeds to move from board to board, making their moves against each opponent.
5. Touch-Move Rule: The touch-move rule applies, meaning that once a player touches a piece, they must make a legal move with that piece if one exists. If a piece is released on a square, the move is considered completed.
6. Communication: Players are generally not allowed to communicate with each other during the games. This includes verbal communication, gestures, or any other form of signaling. Each person is playing by itself, not teaming allowed.
7. Record Keeping: Players are encouraged to keep score of their games using a scoresheet but not required. This allows for review and analysis of the games later on.
8. Disputes: In case of a dispute or disagreement, the arbiter or organizer's decision is final. It is important to maintain a respectful and sportsmanlike attitude throughout the event.
9. Electronic devices: Laptops, Smartphones, Tables or other electronic devices are not allowed during event.
10. Conclusion: Once all games have been completed, the exhibitor should formally end the exhibition by declaring the event closed and thanking all participants for their participation.
