Tubing down the Brandywine

The Allschoolers Tubing Down the Brandywine trip is on the books!
This is a Bring Your Own Tube event!
Meeting Spot: Brandywine Museum of Art (1 Hoffman's Mill Road, Chadds Ford PA 19317)
Take out Spot: Smith Bridge parking lot. Those who don’t want to tube can meet here for lunch and river play and to welcome the tubers back!
Meet at 9am so that you have time to inflate your tubes. This takes longer than expected especially if you need to borrow a pump. Launch time is 10am.
Return drivers: return drivers will meet at the museum, drive their car to Smith Bridge, and leave it there for the trip. They will then drive families back to their car at the museum after tubing. If your child needs a car seat please make sure you make accommodations for that. I will have a separate post to organize return drivers.
Expected tubing time: this depends on river speed. There is a rope swing that we stop at. Theres also a little beach that can be stopped at for lunch.
What to bring:
-Tubes
-Food for the day
-Water
-Life jackets if you feel you need them for your children.
-sunscreen/bugspray if needed
-towel
-change of clothes if you don’t want to go home wet
-a paddle/river stick can be useful
