OVERVIEW
These sessions are a perfect opportunity for adults to explore the wonderful elements of art through a series of short and varied creative explorations, in a supportive, encouraging, and inspiring environment.
Line, shape, pattern, colour, tone, form, space, and texture are all ingredients that we combine to create art. Join me as we explore different approaches to ignite the imagination, build confidence, and try it out! Perfect for socialising over a cuppa and a natter, while sharing creative ideas with other people.

-Week 1: Line & Shape – Contour drawing and creative mark-making
-Week 2: Tone & Texture – Shading styles and surface play
-Week 3: Colour Theory – Mixing tints, tones, and vibrant palettes
-Week 4: Form & Space – Creating depth with still life
-Week 5: Pattern & Composition – Balancing artworks with rhythm
-Week 6: Portrait Play – Bringing it all together in expressive landscapes
Each week will explore a different material to try.
FACILITATOR
I'm Mel, and I will be facilitating the sessions. I am a qualified art and photography teacher with 25 years of experience in Art Education. I'm fully insured and DBS checked and have worked with a huge range of abilities.
