Racing will be in Sprint, RX, Slalom and downriver using current PaddleUK Rafting race rules
Racing will be held across 3 categories; Men, Women, Mixed.
Men’s Category – Entirely Male athletes.
Women’s Category – Entirely Female athletes.
Mixed Category – A minimum of two (2) Female athletes and one (1) Male athlete.
Racing will be in R4 format.
Age restrictions : 14+

A Captain’s email will be sent out once bookings close confirming the race schedule and logistics.
You must provide your own safety equipment; however, paddles can be provided on request. Rafts will be provided for all teams.
Should you have a PaddleUK Rafting R4 raft on loan, this MUST be brought to the race, or arrangements made for this to be available to use at the race. Please email [email protected] at least 4 weeks before the event.
Please note: In order for us to run this event and provide parking in the Chapel carpark we are having to limit raft racing cars to one car per team in the Chapel carpark. All other cars must be parked at the top near the tryweryn camping fields/ chipper get on point. You MUST NOT park in the gravel car parks by Ski Slope or the rafting building.
Depending on paddler attendance to the Tryweryn closer to the date, we may be able to permit double/triple parking in the Chapel carpark park to allow more than one car per team. You may be asked to move your car closer to the next to create additional spaces.

PaddleUK Rafting Race Rules
Racing will be in accordance with the PaddleUK Rafting race rules with any variations to these rules confirmed at morning briefings.

All entries must be made through the Paddle UK booking portal. Late entries may be accepted at the event organisers discretion, late entries will incur a £60 late fee . Entries close two weeks before the event date (25th July).
This event will take place over 2 days on the 8th and 9th August.
Teams must provide full details for each team member when booking.

There may be photographers on site throughout the weekend, with all photos & videos being published on social media. If you do not wish for your photo to go on social media, please let us know during event registration.
