Chico Peace Alliance invites you to view "Before You Enlist" which is a short film that exposes the truth about false promises made by military recruiters. After that we have Special Guest Kate Connell, a parent who organized communities in two Central California school districts to set limits on recruiters' access to High School students to address us and to answer our questions.
The Education Committee of Chico Peace Alliance wishes to give students alternative views and options to balance the false narrative of military recruiters in our schools.
We would like to take back our communities from militarism. Possibilities might include Opt Out Campaigns, organizing against JROTC programs, and most importantly providing alternatives to military for youth.
This program is for students, parents, teachers and all concerned people. Free. Free materials and refreshments also.
