We are thrilled to create this exciting space for you to connect with like-minded singles, and engage in real face-to-face interactions, whilst taking a much needed break from the digital world!

Venue: The Old Ale House.

A lively pub with friendly staff and a charming, traditional atmosphere — with sawdust on the floor and free monkey nuts. (Nut allergies beware)

How It Works

Arrival: Ticket holders should arrive between 6:00pm and 6:45pm. We recommend grabbing a refreshing drink from the downstairs bar upon entry, then heading upstairs to our reserved area to:

• Sign in

• Meet the host

• Chat with fellow daters

The first bell rings at 7:00pm sharp to signal the start of speed dating — so be ready!

Speed Dating Format

• Ladies stay seated

• Gentlemen rotate when the bell rings

• 5 minutes per date

• Up to 14 mini-dates each.

There will be short breaks throughout for:

• Mingling

• Bathroom breaks

• Drink top-ups

As you meet each date, fill in your matchcard:

• Simply write their name and indicate whether you’d like to see them again, with a yes or no.

Before leaving, hand your completed matchcard to the host.

Match results will be emailed the following day, including phone numbers for mutual matches. Who makes the next move? That’s entirely up to you…
