This unique tasting experience will showcase premium fresh truffles sourced from Coomer Truffles, in Manjimup, Western Australia. Nestled in the heart of this picturesque southern forest region, David Coomer’s truffle farm grows Tuber Melanosporum, the true French Black Winter Truffle, Perigord genus. Thanks to the region’s cool climate and nutrient-rich Karri loam soil, he produces some of Australia’s finest truffle crops.
This is a true paddock to plate producer. Picked, graded and packed to your requirements by the grower. The season only starts when the truffles have reached maturity and are at their very best. Join us to experience these black beauties in the peak of the Australian truffle season.
Guests will enjoy a delicious tasting menu of the best truffle toasties, indulgent truffle spaghetti and a rich truffle brie, each dish created to highlight the unmistakable aroma and flavour of fresh truffle. Throughout the event, guests can also sample from a grazing platter, curated to complement the truffle experience. We will also be sampling some local wines, such as Margaret River Shiraz, chosen for its depth, elegance, and ability to pair beautifully with the earthy richness of fresh truffle.
Victoria Lush our National Retail Manager, will share insights into the fascinating world of truffles, covering their cultivation, harvesting, and what makes Coomer Truffles so highly regarded.
Whether you are a seasoned truffle enthusiast or discovering this culinary treasure for the first time, this intimate and interactive event promises an evening of great food, wine, flavour, and learning.
